Microsoft Azure Administrator

AZ-104 practice

Microsoft's hands-on Azure admin exam. Practice the work it tests: managing Entra ID users and RBAC, building storage accounts and file shares, deploying VMs and containers, wiring up virtual networks, and keeping it all monitored and backed up. What you'll study

Every section follows the official AZ-104 exam outline. Click a domain to see its sections.

Study, Quiz, Exam

Read the concepts, practice in short rounds, then test yourself on a mock exam with targeted feedback on where you need to focus more. Every question is original and maps to the official AZ-104 outline.

1 · Study

Learn the concept first

Short study cards cover each section before you answer a single question.

1-01 · Microsoft Entra users & groups
Blocking, resetting and restoring accounts

Disabling an account stops new sign-ins, and revoking its sessions invalidates refresh tokens already handed out, so a lost signed-in device calls for both. A deleted user waits in Deleted users for 30 days and comes back with its object ID, memberships and properties. Recreating the account instead yields a different object ID.

Exam tip
An admin reset gives a temporary password that does not expire, and the user must replace it at next sign-in. Removing licenses or changing user type does not block sign-in.
2 · Quiz Try it

Ten-question rounds

Every answer explained. Score 80% and the next section unlocks.

A user was deleted from Microsoft Entra ID 12 days ago. The user has returned to the company and needs the same account, including the original object ID and group memberships.

Questions

No. AZ-900 isn't a prerequisite. If you're new to cloud it covers the vocabulary AZ-104 assumes, and its CertPrep+ track is completely free.
No. Every question is original, written against Microsoft's published skills outline and checked against Microsoft's documentation. Real exam questions are covered by Microsoft's exam agreement, so any site selling them is selling braindumps.
Pick a domain, then a study section, and answer a ten-question round. Every answer comes with an explanation of why it's right and why the others aren't. Score 80% or better and the next section in that domain unlocks.
A typical range is one to three months, depending on how much time you've spent working in Azure. CertPrep+ splits the AZ-104 into 50 sections, so at one or two a day you can work through the whole bank in about 4 to 8 weeks.
The whole AZ-104 track is included with an opnf.sh subscription ($15/month or $120/year), which also includes every Pro course. AZ-900 and AWS Cloud Practitioner are free with no account needed, and a free account saves your progress and unlocks the practice exam.
Microsoft charges $165 to sit the exam in the US, and the price varies by country. That fee is paid to Microsoft when you book the exam. It's separate from CertPrep+, which is a practice tool.
No. The certification is valid for one year, and Microsoft lets you renew it for free with a short online assessment on Microsoft Learn. There's no second exam fee and no test center.
It's written to the skills outline that took effect on April 17, 2026. When Microsoft updates the outline, the sections are updated to match.
